Children's Ministry
Pastor:
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. - Ephesians 6:4
A parent’s highest priority is to raise their children to live by faith -- to be men and women who will stand before God at the end of their lives and hear Him say, “Well done!” Parents have three main responsibilities in this endeavor:
- The responsibility to model a gospel lifestyle for their children, both as individuals and as interdependent members of the gospel community.
- The responsibility to teach their children the gospel message that results in gospel living.
- The responsibility to actively involve their children in gospel living as their age and maturity allow.
The #1 priority of Cornerstone’s Children’s Ministry is to help parents fulfill these responsibilities. Our ministry exists to help parents raise their children by providing the following:
- Tools, resources, and encouragement to help families within gospel communities raise their children together in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
- Tools, resources, and encouragement to help families within gospel communities care for unbelieving families and children in their neighborhoods.
- Sunday School: Age-appropriate teaching/worship/fellowship environments for children who are not yet able to understand and participate in the main Sunday gatherings.
