Children's Ministry

Pastor:

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. - Ephesians 6:4

A parent’s highest priority is to raise their children to live by faith -- to be men and women who will stand before God at the end of their lives and hear Him say, “Well done!” Parents have three main responsibilities in this endeavor:

  1. The responsibility to model a gospel lifestyle for their children, both as individuals and as interdependent members of the gospel community.
  2. The responsibility to teach their children the gospel message that results in gospel living.
  3. The responsibility to actively involve their children in gospel living as their age and maturity allow.

The #1 priority of Cornerstone’s Children’s Ministry is to help parents fulfill these responsibilities. Our ministry exists to help parents raise their children by providing the following:

  1. Tools, resources, and encouragement to help families within gospel communities raise their children together in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
  2. Tools, resources, and encouragement to help families within gospel communities care for unbelieving families and children in their neighborhoods.
  3. Sunday School: Age-appropriate teaching/worship/fellowship environments for children who are not yet able to understand and participate in the main Sunday gatherings.
