Chair Setup

Chair setup begins at 8am every Sunday morning. Careful attention to detail allows this team to provide an attractive and functional seating arrangement for our services. Team leaders are responsible for the chair setup process from start to finish on their assigned Sunday. A great way to start in this ministry is to come and lend a hand.

Current need: There is always room for helpers for Chair Setup! The rotation is generally one time per month.

Children’s Ministry Setup/Tear-down

The setup team arrives at 8am each Sunday to prepare the classroom and nursery area. This includes placing signs, moving chairs, setting out equipment and toys, and bringing supplies to the classrooms. After the services, these areas require tear down as well. The typical rotation is two Sundays per month.

Current need: At least three more individuals.

Communion Setup

This ministry is ideally suited to a team of two individuals who arrive between 8:45-9am on Sunday morning to setup Communion tables, including tablecloths, decorations, and candles. Participants will also prepare the bread baskets and fill the cup trays with grape juice.

Current need: We need two couples or four individuals.

Decor Setup and Teardown

Décor setup begins around 8am on Sunday mornings. Participants setup the resource tables, welcome table and the hospitality tables.  A creative eye is a bonus but not necessary.  The rotation is generally once a month for combined setup and teardown.

Audio Team

The Audio team is responsible for the auditory aspect of the service.  Participants arrive at 8am and are initially responsible for setting up the sound board and helping with stage setup.  They also help facilitate the sound check and pre-service practice, and are then responsible for sound levels during the service.  Experience in this field is a bonus but not a requirement.  If you would like to help, we will provide the necessary training!

Current need: We currently need to train three new people.

Visual Team

The Visual Team manages the various visual elements of the Sunday morning worship services, including LCD projection, slides and visual effects, and audio CD recording.  Participants arrive around 8:15am, set up their area, arrange the slides for the mornings service, and are responsible for recording the sermon.

Current need: We currently need to train three new people.

An excellent curriculum is provided for teachers.  Current rotation is once or twice a month.

Junior High Ministry

Our Jr. High ministry [Stronghold] meets after the worship-through-music portion of the service in Room P4 every Sunday except for the first of each month when they are encouraged to stay in the service with their families.  They also meet once during the week at the SCV Activities Center.

High School Ministry

Our High School Ministry [Souled Out] meets at the church warehouse every Wednesday night for a time of fun, worship, and biblical teaching. We are intentional in building strong relationships with the students to help them to faithfully live out the Christian life and impart their culture with the Gospel. Ministry helpers meet in small groups with students throughout the week, providing friendship, advice, and encouragement.

Current need:  Female staff members.
