Women's Ministry
Women's ministry at Cornerstone SCV functions under the authority, leadership and protection of the elders of the church. Our desire is to invest in the lives of women in such a way so that they might be equipped disciples who are growing in spiritual maturity. Our aim is to build unity within the body of the church, as women from different community groups are brought together for the purpose of encouragement, fellowship, and support, and then returned to their community groups equipped for further ministry within their community groups and families.
Our mission is to plan and implement opportunities for all women of the church to gather for times of devotion, worship and fellowship creating an atmosphere that welcomes visitors and creates an opportunity for the gospel to be presented. Our desire is to grow and mature in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to encourage each other with issues that we, as women specifically, are faced with in our daily lives. By gathering together as women, we hope to cultivate and build faithful, purposeful and lasting relationships with other women in the church, and to encourage one another to be active participants in the family of God who are passionate about advancing God’s kingdom.
Typically, the women gather once every other month and have an annual weekend conference in the spring. Our next gathering will be the women's conference in Ventura Feburary 24-26. The conference is a great time of fellowship as well as a time to experience growth.
Future events will be posted online as well as announced in church and printed in the bulletin. Please be on the lookout for the next fellowship night during the summer.
